• Make 2 tears in the fabric, about 1" each. Make one hole about ½" round.
Method #1:

Automatic Darning

135 PE and 145:
• Select stitch #13 on the 135 PE and stitch #14 on the 145.
• Use Auto Buttonhole Foot with Slide #3A with the feed dog up.
125:
• Select stitch #11.
• Use Reverse patern Foot #1 with the feed dog up.
• Insert the needle into the area at the left of the top of the tear.
• Sew the first vertical row the length of the tear.
• Press the Quick Reverse to program the length; continue stitching and the machine
will finish automatically.
Method #2: Manual Darning
• Bond the fusible knit interfacing to the wrong side of the fabric, covering the hole.
• Select stitch #1 and attach Darning Foot #9. Lower the feed dogs.
• Hoop fabric to prevent distortion. Stitch back and forth, then up and down, moving the
hoop without pressure.
