OVERVIEW
Regal expands its lineup for 2012. New fuel-saving eAssist
technology and the new GS model debut, giving Regal added
fuel economy and performance credentials. Expanded luxury
and convenience features are also added. During the model year
Regal adds a new Color Touch Radio with IntelliLink that will
include enhanced connectivity. To simplify ordering, new Preferred
Equipment Groups replace previous packages.

WHAT'S NEW
• Exterior: Bright portholes, OSRV mirrors with integrated turn
signal indicators, Black chrome waterfall grille. Door handles
with chrome accents included on Premium equipment groups
and GS.
• Universal Home Remote, EZ Key passive entry system, Push
Button Start and Remote Vehicle Start now standard on
Premium and GS models.
• Late availability: Color Touch Radio with IntelliLink connectivity
and 7" screen.
• Available harman/kardon 336-watt, 9-speaker 5.1 Matrix
Surround Sound system.
• Available audio system with touch-screen GPS navigation,
multi-function controller and SD (Secure Digital) card reader.
• E85 FlexFuel capability is now standard on the 2.4L Ecotec
4-cylinder engine.
• eAssist technology is available on Regal 1SL, Premium I and
Premium II. Includes: specific 6-speed automatic transmission,
15kW electric motor-generator, 2.64 final drive ratio, ECO
gauge, underbody aero panels, 17" (Q05) wheels, and low-
rolling resistance tires.
• Electric power steering becomes standard on non-turbo
engine models.
• Wheels: Available 18" chrome-plated (Q52).

eAssist's regenerative braking recycles energy so that
you use less fuel. As you brake or coast to a stop, eAssist
converts the vehicle's forward motion to electricity. A
lithium-ion battery and electric motor-generator recover
energy typically lost during idle. eAssist captures the energy,
charges the battery, and stores energy in the battery pack.
8. Class-exclusive Interactive Drive Control System – This
continuously variable real-time damping chassis technology
personalizes the driving experience. It adjusts handling to
optimize Regal's response to every inch of the road and
offers three selectable modes. Standard on Premium III and
GS models.
