Commissioning and testing

Before commissioning the appliance, the whole gas installation including the
meter must be purged and tested for gas soundness in accordance with BS
6891: 1988.
Danger
Open all doors and windows; extinguish naked lights and do not smoke
whilst purging the gas line.
Before commencing the commissioning procedure, ensure that the gas service
cock is turned on, the electricity supply is isolated and that the DHW and CH
pipework is complete.
Clean and flush the system to BS 7593.
Fill the system with cold water. It may be convenient to carry out this procedure
before fitting the boiler to the piping frame. Vent the system via the radiator
valves and system air vents in accordance with normal practice, close all air
vents and check for system soundness. Drain the entire system to flush out any
debris.
Additives from the approved list below may be used. The use of non
approved additives will invalidate the warranty on this product.
