A test print is available to aid in determining the quality of output from the
printer and to assist in troubleshooting image-quality problem (see Test 8 in
the "Diagnostic Test Menu Map" on page 3-5). Each area of the test print is
used for a image-quality parameter. The following pages explain each of the
areas and the image-quality parameters. Follow these guidelines when
generating the test print:
Use supported paper from a fresh, unopened ream
Print five copies of the test print.
Discard the first two prints and retain the remaining prints for image-
quality analysis.
Inspect the test print for the presence of deletions or unprinted spots. If these
are found, see "Repeating Bands, Lines, Marks, or Spots" on page 5-22.
