Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot settings
From the Wireless & network settings menu, touch Portable

Wi-Fi Hotspot.

Touch Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot settings for these settings:
• Network SSID: The default name for your device is displayed.
Touch to enter a new name for your hotspot, if desired.
• Security: Choose a security level for your hotspot, from Open or
WPA2 PSK.
• Password: When Security is set to WPA2 PSK, touch to require a
password to access your device as a hotspot, and set a password.
When enabled, a checkmark appears in the check box.
• Show password: When enabled, your password appears in the
Password field.
• Hide my device: Touch to hide your device from other devices
searching for a hotspot. When enabled, a check appears in the
check box.
Tip: By default, your device's Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot password is your device
number. To change the password, touch Password, then enter a new
password.

VPN

You can connect your i100 to an enterprise Virtual Private
Network, such as your employer's.
To add a VPN:
From the Wireless & network settings menu, touch VPN

Add VPN. The screen appears in the display
with the following VPN types:
• Add PPTP VPN: Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol
• Add L2TP VPN: Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol
• Add L2TP/IPSec PSK VPN: Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol / Internet
Protocol Security Pre-Shared Key
• Add L2TP/IPSec CRT VPN: Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol / Internet
Protocol Security Certificate-based
Touch the desired VPN type. The following settings are

Note: Contact the Information Technology Security support personnel for the
correct values for these settings.
• VPN name
• Set VPN server (L2TP/IPSec PSK and L2TP/IPSec CRT networks)
• Set IPSec pre-shared key (L2TP/IPSec PSK networks only)
• Enable encryption (PPTP)
