Drive off slowly and avoid jerky
movements. I mpermissible tractive forces
could dam age the vehic les.
More pressure is necessary to dep ress
the brake pedal sinc e the brake servo
unit is only operative when the engine is
running .
Considerably g reater steering force is
necessary since this unit is operativ e only
when the engine is running.
Vehicles with automatic transmission 3
should be towed facing forwa rd s only a nd
must not be towed faster than 50 mph
(80 km/h)or further tha n 60 m iles (100 km ).
If the tra nsmission is defective, or if the
above speed or d istance is to be exceeded,
the front axle must be raised off the
ground .
Consult a workshop. We recommend your
Vauxhall Authorised Repairer who will
serve you best to get y our vehicle back on
the road.
If the coup ling has been manua lly
uncoupled in vehicles with Easy tronic 3
because of an interruption to the power
sup ply, towing is not permitted – see page
160. I n this case, consult a work shop as
soon as possible. We recommend tha t you
consult your Vauxhall Authorised Repairer.
Towing service
Entrust y our v ehicle only to the towing
service of your choice and obta in a n
estimate on towing costs b efore emp loy ing
any towing service. In this way you avoid
unnec essary costs and p ossible insura nce
prob lems during claim proc essing.
Towing another vehicle
Attach a tow rop e 3 – or better still a tow
rod 3 – to the rear towing eye on the right
side of the vehicle und erbody, but never to
the rear ax le.
Drive slowly . Do not drive jerkily . Excessive
tractive force c an damage the vehicle.
