Motor Assembly

The motor is a 240 VAC motor and utilizes an
8uF start capacitor and internal automatic reset
overload. The start winding resistance value is 20 Ω
(white-red). The run winding has a resistance value
of 14 Ω (white-blue).
Operation of the motor can be checked by using the
service test mode. (See

Specifi c failures associated with the motor can
initiate error codes 3E1 and 3E2. (See
To remove the motor assembly:
1. Remove the drum and rear blower wheel. (See
Drum and Bearing and Rear Blower Wheel
2. Remove 2 Phillips-head screws and top motor
support.
3. Remove the Phillips-head screw that secures the
left side of the lower motor support to the base
and loosen the Phillips head screw on the right
side. (Do not remove the screw on the right side.)
4. Disconnect wire harnesses from the belt switch
and motor assembly.
