7 Printing Photos From A Wireless
Communication Device
If you have a mobile phone with an infrared port for wireless data transmission, you can
print photos through a cordless connection with the machine. You can also print photos
received from Bluetooth-compatible mobile phones using the optional Bluetooth unit
BU-20. (See the Bluetooth User's Guide)
Performing Infrared Communication
When performing infrared communication, also refer to your mobile phone manual.

Turn ON the machine and load the paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder.

Adjust the print settings as necessary.
• You can select the page size, media type, smoothing and layout. (See the User's Guide)
1. Press [Menu].
2. Use [ ] or [ ] to select <Maintenance/settings>, then press [OK].
3. Use [ ] or [ ] to select <Device settings>, then press [OK].
4. Use [ ] or [ ] to select <Wireless print settings>, then press [OK].
5. Use [ ] or [ ] to select the item to set, then use [ ] or [ ] to change the setting.
6. Press [OK] after finishing all settings you need.

Oppose the infrared port of the mobile phone to that of the machine at
a distance of less than 20 cm.
• The effective angle of the infrared port of the machine is about 10° from the central axis in both
vertical and horizontal directions.
• The allowable distance of communication with the machine depends on the mobile phone you use.
For this distance, refer to your mobile phone manual.
