Thread tension ne tuning

Thread tension is automatically set when selecting a stitch type with the Auto Tension Dial (ATD), but it may have to
be ne tuned with the ne tuning levers depending on:
• Type and thickness of the fabric
• Needle size
• Size, type and bre content of the thread
2-thread overlock
When the lower looper thread lies on the underside of the
fabric
When the needle thread tension is too loose
2-thread overlock, wrap
When the lower looper thread tension is too tight or needle
thread tension is too loose
When the lower looper thread tension is too loose
3-thread atlock stitch
When the lower looper thread tension is too loose
When the upper looper thread tension is too loose
When the needle thread tension is too loose
3-thread overlock
When the upper looper thread lies on the underside of the
fabric
When the lower looper thread appears on the top of the
fabric
When the needle thread is too loose

Stitch adjustments
Move the lower looper thread tension ne tuning lever
(yellow) toward a higher position.
Or, move the needle thread tension ne tuning lever (blue
or green) toward a lower position.
Move the needle thread tension ne tuning lever (blue or
green) toward a higher position.
Or, move the lower looper thread tension ne tuning lever
(yellow) toward a lower position.
Move the lower looper thread tension ne tuning lever
(yellow) toward a lower position.
Or, move the needle thread tension ne tuning lever (blue
or green) toward a higher position.
Move the lower looper thread tension ne tuning lever
(yellow) toward a higher position.
Move the lower looper thread tension ne tuning lever
(yellow) toward a higher position.
Or, move the needle thread tension ne tuning lever (blue
or green) toward a lower position.
Move the upper looper thread tension ne tuning lever
(red) toward a higher position.
Or, move the needle thread tension ne tuning lever (blue
or green) toward a lower position.
Move the needle thread tension ne tuning lever (blue or
green) toward a higher position.
Or, move the upper looper thread tension ne tuning lever
(red) toward a lower position.

(red) to a higher position.
