COMPONENTS
JVCKENWOOD MALAYSIA SON. BHD. is proud of the quality and workmanship of its audio equ ipment. This unit has been properly
desig ned, tested and inspected before
it
was shipped to you. If properly installed and operated in accordance with instructions
furn ished, it shou ld give optimum reliable performance.
SCOPE OF EXPRESS WARRANTY
Each of the KENWOOD brand products is expressly warranted under normal i nstallation snd use against defects in materiel
and workmanship. During the express warranty period, JVCKENWOOD MALAYSIA SON. BHD. will prov ide to any KENWOOD
Authorised Service Centre in Malaysia free of charge
both pans and labou r necessary t o corre ct any defect in material or
workmanship. However, the exclusions noted under t he heading "CON DITIO NS OF THE EXPRESS
WAR RANTY ~
ere not covered
by this express warranty.
EXPRESS WARRANTY PERIOD
The KENWOOD brand car stereo and perso nal audio components are expressly warranted for a period of ONE VEAR fro m th e
date o f the o rigina l purchase.
CONDITIONS OF THE EXPRESS WARRANTY
When requesting service under KENWOOD express w arranty record , together w ith a valid p urchase docket must be presented
to an authorised KENWOOD Service Centre with your equipment.
Th e foll owing are not covered by this express wa rranty:
1 Voltage conversions.
2 Cabinets, grilles, other exterior finishes, belts, tape heads, and eth er non-durable parts and accessori es.
3 Any fau lt caused by faulty installati on, water damage, th e vehicle !i nclu ding its electrical system) or connection to an incorrect
power supply.
4.
Period ic check-ups which do not disclose any defects covered by t he w arranty
5 Units on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed
6. Damage or deteriorati on:
Resulting from installation and/or remova l o f the p10duct.
b. Resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorised p roduct modification or failure to follow instructions contained
in the Owner's Ma nual.
c. Resulting from repair by anyone not authorised by KENWOOD.
d Resulting fro m installati on of parts or accessories t hat do not confo rm to the quality or specificati ons of th e orig inal parts or
accessories.
e. Occurring during shi pment (claims must be presented to shipper).
7. Damaged magnetic tapes.
8. Installation and removal charges are net covered.
9. This express warranty excludes shipping or delivery charges to or from an authorised KENWOOD Service Centre.
10. Th e benefits conferred by this express wa rra nty are in addition to all oth er rights and remedies in respect of the pro duct which th e
consumer has under Sales of Goods Act 1957 (Rev ised 19891.
EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES
KENWOOD's liabi lity fo r any defective p10duct is limited to the repair or rep lacement of said product at o u r option, and shall n ot
include damages o f any kind, whether incidental, consequential or otherwise.
PROCEDURE WHEN REQUESTING SERVICE UNDER THE WARRANTY
1. Make your equipment available, with thi s warran ty record and purchase docket attached, to the dealer fro m whom you made th e
purchase, or the nearest authorised KENWOOD Service Centre, or ship your equipment in its original packaging, or equivalent,
fu lly insured and shipping charges pre-paid, to th e authorised KENWOOD Service Centre.
2. Attach detailed description of the problem encountered, including details of any intercon nections made to associa ted equipment.
3. Make sure you recover this card, your purchase docket and repair docket w hen accepting the equip men t back after repai r.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
1. Proper maintenance and use are important to the performance level of all KENWOOD bmn d products. Therefore, you should read
your instruction manual.
2. Retain your purchase docket together w ith this warranty reco rd i n a sa fe place, and present th em beth to prove your eligibility fer
warranty work.
3. We recommend that you keep all th e ori ginal packaging as it provides the best protection you can have for trans portati on o f your

O ur g oods comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded
under the Australian Consu m er Law. U nder Australian
Consumer Law , you are enti t led to a replacement or refund for
a m ajor failure and for compensat ion for any other reasonably
foresee able loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the
goods re paired o r replaced if th e goods f.! il to be of accept.!ble
quality and the fail ure does not amount to a major failure
The benefits of t h is warranty are in addition to any rights and
remed ies imposed by Australian State and Fed eral legislation
th at cannot b e excl uded . Nothing in th is warranty is t o be

SCOPE OF EXPRESS WARRANTY
Subject to the " EXCLUSION S", "PROCEDURE W HEN
REQUESTING SERVICE UNDER THE EXPRESS WARRANTY"
and " LIM ITATIONS" below, each of th e KEN WOOD brand
products ("Prod ucts") is expressly warranted under
normal installation and use against d efects in material and
workmanship during the Warranty Period .
This warranty is not transfe rable to a subsequent customer ifthe
Product is sold by the o rig ina l purchaser during the Warranty
Period. During the Warranty Peri od, JVC KENWOOD will cause
the Product or the defective part of the Product to be repaired by
providing to any JVC KEN W OOD Authorized Service Centre in
Austra lie or New Zealand(as applicable to country of purchase)
fre e o f charge parts necessary to correct any defect i n material
or workmanship. JVC KENWOOD re se rves the right to re p lace
d efective parts o f th e Product with parts and components o f
si mi lar quality, grade and composition w here an identical part
or component is not available. Products presented for repa ir
may be replaced by refurbished products o f the same type
rather than being re p aired. Refurbished p arts may be used
to repair t he goods.
WARRANTY PERIOD

6 Products t hat have been subject to abnormal conditions,
including environment, temperatu re, water, fire, humidity,
pressure,stressor similar;
Alleged defects that are with in acceptable industry variances;
Damage or deterioration:
a. Resulting fro m installation and/or removal of the product.
b. Resulting fromacci dent,misuse, abuse, neglect. unauthorized
product modification or fa il ure to follow instructi ons
contain ed in th e Owner's Man ual.
c. Resulting fro m installation of parts or accesso ries that do
not con fo rm to the quality or speci fi cation s of th e original
parts or accessories.
d. Occurring during shipment (claims must be presen t to
shipper) ; and

The warranty does not extend to·

2. Shipping charges to or from an authorised JVC KENWOOD
Service Centre
PROCEDURE WHEN REQUESTING SERVICE

packaging, or equivalent, with shipping charges and insura nce
prepaid, to t he Authorised JVC KENWOOD Service Cen tre for
KENW OOD p roducts. Oth erwise, contact JVC KENWOOD at
the contact address listed below
·Attach the following to the Product:
· the wa rra nty record in the back o f this page together;
· a valid purchase docket attached; and
· deta iled descripti on o f the pro blem encountered, including
details of any problems which relate to associated
equ ipment.
2. If such inspection and testing fi nd no defect in the Product,
the purchaser, at JVC KENWOOD's discretion must pay JVC
KENWOOD's cost of service work. evaluation and testing
3. Make sure you recover th is card, your purchase docket and
repair docket when accepting th e equipment back after re pair
or after your claim is rejected.
