Verify safety start interlock system
Visually inspect unit for loose
hardware and/or damaged parts
Check oil level, engine (1)
Check air filter (2)
Check fuel level
Check cutting reel and bedknife
clearance and sharpness
Replace air filter element
Clean machine
Grease all lubrication points (6
places)
Change engine oil (1)
Clean cylinder & head fins (a)
Clean engine exterior (a)
Clean & regap spark plugs (a)
Check belt tension and condition
Change fuel filter
Replace spark plug
NOTES:
1. Initial oil change is after 5 hours of operation. Thereafter, change
oil per engine manufacturer's recommendations. Refer to engine
owner's manual for recommendations and other engine
maintenance. Change more often under dusty or dirty conditions
and during hot weather periods.
2. Service more often under dusty or dirty conditions.
