Using the KX with Cubase

Setting up the VSTi

You can create a track for the VSTi and open/close the VSTi window from the KX panel operation remotely.
Performing such operations (normally performed on Cubase) from the KX panel allows you to produce music
with tremendous efficiency.

Creating a track for the VSTi

You can simply create a track for the VSTi
(Instrument Track) from the KX panel operation
remotely.
1.
Press the [ADD INSTRUMENT TRACK]
button of the KX.
The [Add Instrument Track] dialog appears.
NOTE
Please keep in mind that a new Instrument
Track cannot be created if any project file is
not opened. After opening a project file or
create a new project file, perform this
procedure.

Click "No VST Instrument" by using a
mouse.
3.
Select the desired VSTi by using the Cursor
buttons of the KX.
4.
Press the [ENTER] button to fix the selected
VSTi.
The [Add Instrument Track] dialog closes.

Opening the VSTi window and
selecting an Instrument
When the Instrument Track is selected on the
Project window or the other window, you can open
the VSTi window quickly at the touch of the button
on the KX's panel.

On the KX, use the Cursor buttons to select
an Instrument Track of which the VSTi
window you want to call up.
On the KX, press the [VSTi WINDOW] button
to open the VSTi window.
The VSTi window of the track selected in step 1
will appear.
On the computer, click the Instrument select
box of the VSTi window to call up the
window as illustrated below.
On the KX, use the PROGRAM [DEC] and
[INC] buttons to select an Instrument.
Press the [VSTi WINDOW] button again to
close the VSTi window.
