Navigating applications

You can navigate between your applications with the navigation keys. Some
applications are closed when you press
background or pause. If the application is paused or runs in the background, you can
continue where you left off the next time you open the application.
A quick way to navigate between your favourite applications is to use the recently
used applications window.
Navigating applications overview
1 Recently used applications window. Select a recently used application.
2 Small apps bar. Select a small app.
3 Navigation key. Open the recently used applications window.
4 Navigation key. Close the application and go back to the Home screen.
5 Navigation key. Go back to the previous screen within the application or close the application.
To open a menu in an application
• While using the application, press .

Small apps

A small app only takes up a small area of your screen and it opens on top of other
applications and screens. You can for example use it to make some quick notes or
calculations without closing the running application. More small apps are available at
Google Play™.
