Bluetooth Profiles

All the Bluetooth settings you configure are stored in your
phone's Bluetooth user profile. Different profiles can be used
for specific Bluetooth functions.
HSP: Headset Profile – This profile functions as a wireless ear
jack. When an incoming call is received, the ringer can be
heard through the headset. While using your phone, you
can use the headset instead of the phone by pushing a
button on the headset, which has the same effect as
inserting a jack into the phone. Increase or decrease the
volume by using the volume key on the left side of the
phone.
Note: To cycle between the phone's earpiece, speakerphone and a Bluetooth
headset during a call, press
HFP: Hands-Free Profile – This profile functions as a wireless
car kit. Incoming calls ring to the hands-free headset or
device. Calls can be received by pressing a button on the
headset or device. For dialing, four functions are supported:
recent call dial, voice dial, speed dial, and number dial.
Increase or decrease the volume by using the volume key.
DUN: Dial-Up Network Profile – This profile functions as a
wireless data cable, connecting a PC or PDA to a network
through your phone.
OPP: Object Push Profile – This profile uses the Generic Object
Exchange profile services to send data objects between
devices and can be used to exchange Contacts and
business cards (vCard).
FTP: File TransferProfile – This profile allows you to transfer
files to or from other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
BPP: Basic Printing Profile – This profile enables simpler
printing from your phone to a Bluetooth-enabled printer.
A2DP:Advanced Audio Distribution Profile – This profile allows
you to transmit high quality stereo music from your phone to
other compatible accessories including Bluetooth stereo
headsets.
