F. Sidewalls/Surrounds
• Adjacent combustible sidewalls must be located
a minimum of 24 in. (610 mm) from the fireplace
opening.
• Combustible or non-combustible mantel legs, surrounds
and stub walls may be constructed per Figure 11.12.
