Aligning the print cartridge

The printer automatically aligns the print cartridge when it is installed or
replaced.

Load plain paper. For more information, see "Loading paper into the
paper support" on page 15.

Install the print cartridge. For more information, see "Installing the
print cartridge" on page 29.

Follow the alignment instructions on the computer screen.
The printer prints an alignment page to align the cartridge
automatically.
However, you may also need to align the cartridge when:
•
Characters are not properly formed or are not aligned at the left
margin.
•
Lines that should be vertical and straight print as wavy.
Aligning the print cartridge from the Lenovo Solution
Center

Load plain paper. See "Loading paper into the paper support" on
page 15.

Open the Lenovo Solution Center. See "Using the Lenovo Solution
Center" on page 12.

From the Maintenance tab, click Align to fix blurry edges.

Click Print.
The cartridge is aligned after the page prints.
