  • Page 63 CHAPTER 3 CONTROL PANEL If an unrecoverable error occurs, the printer will indicate the need for a service call by illuminating all the LEDs and then alternating the following combination of LEDs. For example, the following two indications alternate when a fuser malfunction error occurs.

Cancel printing If you press the control panel button while printing, the printer immediately stops printing and ejects the paper.   • Page 73 Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the AC outlet. Disconnect the interface cable from the printer. Caution Be sure to turn off the printer before you install or remove SIMM. Open the rear cover. Unscrew the two screws that secure the access cover and remove it.

To prevent damage to the printer from static electricity, do not touch the electrodes shown in the illustration.
  • Page 82 If an unpacked drum unit is subjected to excessive direct sunlight or room light, the unit may be damaged. • Use a genuine Lenovo toner cartridge that is specially formulated to ensure optimum print quality. • Printing with a 3rd party toner or 3rd party toner cartridge may reduce not only the print quality but also the quality and life of the printer itself.
