MAINTENANCE
8. Replace the spark plug (see Spark Plug
Maintenance on page 29).
9. Move the pressure washer to a clean, dry place for
storage.

WINTER STORAGE

1. Follow steps 1 through 11 in After Each Use on
page 31.
2. Store the hoses, spray gun and nozzle extension.
3. Disconnect the spark plug wire.
4. Connect a 3-foot (1-meter) section of garden hose
to the water inlet hose fi tting.
5. Using a funnel, pour 6 oz (177 mL) of RV antifreeze
into the hose.
NOTICE
Use only RV antifreeze. Any other antifreeze can
damage the pump.
6. Slowly pull the recoil handle several times, until
antifreeze comes out of the high-pressure fi tting of
the pump.
7. Remove the 3-foot (1-meter) garden hose.
8. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
9. Store the pressure washer in a clean, dry place.

Remove and Install the Pump

1. Disconnect high-pressure hose and soap siphon
hose from pump.

OTE:
The pump mounting bolts also mount the
engine in place. Do not tip the unit or the
engine could be damaged when pump is
removed.
2. Remove the 3 mounting bolts and washers holding
the pump to the frame (see Figure 40).
3. Slide the pump down off of the crankshaft (see
Figure 40).

4. Inspect the key and keyway on crankshaft (see
Figure 41).
5. Apply a thin layer of grease to the crankshaft before
installing the pump.

6. Slide the pump onto the crankshaft making sure the
key lines up with the keyway in the pump.
7. Install the pump/engine mounting bolts and tighten
to 25 ft-lb (34 N·m).
