Oven Bottom
The.oven.bottom.has.a.porcelain-enamel.
finish . . To.make.cleaning.easier,.protect.the.
oven.bottom.from.excessive.spillovers.by.
placing.a.cookie.sheet.on.the.rack.below.the.
rack.you.are.cooking.on . . This.is.particularly.
important.when.baking.a.fruit.pie.or.other.
foods.with.a.high.acid.content . . Hot.fruit.
fillings.or.other.foods.that.are.highly.acidic.
Lift-Off Lower Oven Door
The door is very heavy. Be careful when
removing and lifting the door.
Do.not.lift.the.door.by.the.handle . .
To remove the door:
..Fully.open.the.door .
... P ull.the.hinge.locks.down.toward.the.door.
frame,.to.the.unlocked.position . . A.tool,.
such.as.a.small.flat-blade.screwdriver,.
may.be.required .
... F irmly.grasp.both.sides.of.the.door.at.the.
top .
... C lose.door.to.the.door.removal.position,.
which.is.halfway.between.the.broil.stop.
position.and.fully.closed .
... L ift.door.up.and.out.until.the.hinge.arm.
is.clear.of.the.slot .
To replace the door:.
... F irmly.grasp.both.sides.of.the.door.at.the.
top .
Lift-Off Upper Oven Door
To remove the door:
..Fully.open.the.door .
... L ift.up.on.the.hinge.lock.toward.the.oven.
frame.until.they.stop .
... C lose.the.door.to.45.degrees.(you.will.feel.
the.door.stop) . . The.hinge.lock.will.contact.
the.oven.frame .
... O n.both.sides.of.the.door,.press.down.on.
the.release.buttons.on.each.hinge .
... L ift.door.up.until.it.is.clear.of.the.hinge .
... P ull.on.hinge.arms.slightly.to.relieve.
pressure.on.the.locking.tabs .
... P ush.the.hinge.locks.down.onto.
the.hinge .
... P ush.the.hinges.in.toward.the.unit.
so.they.are.closed .
(such.as.tomatoes,.sauerkraut.and.sauces.
with.vinegar.or.lemon.juice).may.cause.pitting.
and.damage.to.the.porcelain-enamel.surface.
