Using Bluetooth

Bluetooth is a short-range communications technology that allows you to connect wirelessly to a number of
Bluetooth devices, such as headsets and hands-free car kits, and Bluetooth-enabled handhelds, computers,
printers, and wireless phones. The Bluetooth communication range is usually up to approximately 30 feet.

An even easier way to turn Bluetooth on or off is with the Bluetooth widget on the Home screen. 
For instructions on adding a widget to the Home screen, see "Customizing the Home Screen" on page 23.
Note: Turn off Bluetooth when not in use to conserve battery power, or in places where using a wireless device is
prohibited, such as aboard an aircraft and in hospitals.
Changing the Device Name
The device name identifies your device to other devices.

Enter the name for your device in the dialog box, and then tap

Connecting a Bluetooth Headset or Car Kit
You can listen to music over an Bluetooth stereo headset, or have hands-free conversations using a
compatible Bluetooth headset or car kit. It's the same procedure to set up stereo audio and hands-free
devices.
For you to listen to music with your headset or car kit, the headset or car kit must support the A2DP
Bluetooth profile.
