On average, a toner cartridge will produce approximately 1500 sheets at 5% print density. The first cartridge you place in your printer will produce between 500 and 700 sheets. This is normal, as the new image drum reservoir and developing roller must saturate with toner.

Try to protect your paper from excessive temperatures and rapid temperature changes. The toner fusing process in your printer generates a gignificant amount of heat, and the top cover may feel quite warm. This is perfectly normal. If the top cover becomes too hot to touch, switch the printer off and call your dealer for advice.
