ERROR MESSAGES
ERROR CAUSE
MESSAGE
The print heads are too cold.
LOW
TEMPERATURE
The machine has a mechanical problem.
MACHINE
ERROR XX
The media card is either bad or not formatted.
MEDIA ERROR
One or more of the ink cartridges are running
NEAR EMPTY
out of ink. See INK EMPTY.
The media card in the media drive does not
NO FILE
contain a.JPG file.
The number you dialed does not answer or is
NO
busy.
RESPONSE/BUSY
You tried to access a Speed Dial number that is
NOT
not programmed.
ASSIGNED
The data is too large for the machine's memory.
OUT OF
MEMORY
The paper is jammed in the machine.
PAPER JAM
You inserted the media card which can not be
UNSUPPORTED
used.

ACTION
Allow the machine to warm up.
Unplug the machine, and then call
Brother or your dealer for service.
Reinsert the correct media card.
Order a new ink cartridge.
Reinsert the correct media card.
Verify the number and try again.
Set up the Speed Dial number. (See
Storing Speed Dial numbers on
page 7-1.)
