OTHER FUNCTIONS

n Lock function
The lock functon prevents accdental frequency changes
and accdental functon actvaton.
q Hold down [DIAL] for 2 seconds to turn the lock functon
ON.

NOTE:
AUTOMATIC LOCK RELEASE FUNCTION
Ths transcever has an "Automatc Lock Release Functon"
whch releases the Lock functon automatcally when an
operator gets nto a panc.
The lock functon s released when pushng any keys (ex-
cept [EC]) eght tmes or rotatng any dals (except [VOL])
25-clcks for 5 seconds.

n Accessing 121.5 MHz
emergency frequency
The IC-A210E can be set to the 121.5 MHz emergency fre-
quency quckly. Ths functon can be actvated even when the
key lock functon s n use.
q Push [EC] to call the emergency frequency to the standby
frequency, and enter the DualWatch operaton automat-
cally.
w Push [↔] to transfer emergency frequency to the actve
frequency f necessary.
• "EC" appears.
e Push [↔] to ext from the emergency frequency.
• Set the frequency except 121.500 MHz before pushng [↔] to
the standby frequency f necessary.
• "EC" dsappears.
NOTE: "EC" also appears on the dsplay whle the actve
frequency s set to 121.500 MHz.
CONVENIENT!:
Hold down [EC] for 2 seconds to enter
the drect frequency settng mode (p. 8), and set the emer-
gency frequency (121.5 MHz).
• "EC" appears.
