trimming the bikini line with the precision trimming head and a comb
Note: To achieve the best result, only trim your bikini line when your skin and the appliance are dry.
1
Follow the steps in the chapters 'Attaching/detaching the precision trimming head' and
'Attaching/detaching the combs on the precision trimming head'.
2
Place the comb on the skin. To obtain an even result, make sure that the flat part of the
comb is in contact with the skin (Fig. 13).
Note: Do not use the front part of the comb (Fig. 14).
Note: Do not place the appliance on the skin too steeply.
3
Move the comb slowly against the direction of hair growth.
Note: To make trimming easier, stretch the skin with your free hand during trimming (Fig. 15).
4
Since not all hair grows in the same direction, you need to move the appliance in
different directions (upwards, downwards and across) (Fig. 16).
5
Regularly remove cut hair from the comb.
6
To detach the comb, slide it forward with your thumb (Fig. 10).
styling the bikini line with the precision trimming head without comb
Note: Only style your bikini line when your skin and the appliance are dry.
1
Attach the precision trimming head (without comb) onto the appliance
(see chapter 'Preparing for use', section 'Attaching/detaching the precision trimming head').
Note: Trimming without a comb results in a hair length of approximately 0.5mm.
2
Move the appliance towards the desired contour of your bikini line. Touch the skin lightly
with the precision trimming head (Fig. 17).
Note: Make sure you stretch your skin with your free hand to avoid possible injuries.
Note: Do not press the appliance too firmly onto the skin.
You can use the appliance:
-
with the trimmer teeth vertically on the skin. Use this method to create straight lines or
other shapes. Do not make long strokes, but tap the skin lightly with the trimmer
teeth (Fig. 18).
-
with the teeth of the trimming head parallel to the skin. Use this method to shorten the
hairs to a minimum length around the contours of your bikini line (Fig. 19).
Cleaning and maintenance
Always switch off and unplug the appliance before you clean it.
Never switch on the appliance while you clean it or while the cutting unit is not attached.
Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol or
acetone to clean the appliance.
Cleaning the handle and adapter
1
Clean the handle with the cleaning brush or under a running tap.
