problem
espresso cofee does not low out
espresso cofee drips from the edges of the
ilter-holder instead of through the holes
The espresso cofee is cold

If something does not work...
possible causes
No water in the tank
The holes in the ilter-holder are blocked
The espresso boiler outlet is blocked
The ilter-holder is inserted incorrectly
The espresso boiler gasket has lost elasticity
The holes in the ilter-holder spout are blocked clean the holes in the spouts.
The ok light for making espresso is not alight
at the time the cofee-dispenser button is
pressed
Pre-heating has not been carried out
The cups have not been pre-heated
The water tank is empty
The tank is improperly inserted and the valve
on its base is not open
The cofee is too coarsely ground
The ground cofee is not the correct type
The ground cofee has been tamped too irmly
Too much ground cofee has been used
The outlet of the espresso boiler is clogged up
The ilter is blocked
The coffee is too finely ground
The ground cofee is too ine, or is damp
The ground cofee is not the correct type
The milk is not cold enough
The cappuccino-nozzle is dirty

Solution
fill the water tank
clean the holes in the ilter-holder spouts
carry out the cleaning operation as descibed
in the paragraph headed "cleaning"
attach the ilter-holder correctly and turn it
irmly until fully home
obtain a replacement for the espresso boiler
gasket from your Service centre. See enclosed
guarantee.
Wait for the ok light to come on
carry out the pre-heating operation as descri-
bed in the paragraph headed "Pre-heating"
Pre-heat the cups using hot water
fill up the tank
Put light pressure on the tank to open the
valve on its base
Increase tamping of ground cofee
Increase the amount of ground cofee
only use ground cofee designed for use with
espresso cofee machines
change the type of ground cofee used
Tamp the coffee less firmly
reduce the quantity of ground cofee
carry out the cleaning operation, as described
in the paragraph headed"cleaning"
carry out the cleaning operation, as described

only use ground coffee for espresso coffee
