Problem
Thermostat setting
and thermometer
reading disagree.
Timer does not run.
Check
— Level position of thermostat.
— Area around thermostat for
drafts or radiant heat.
— Calibration of thermometer.
—Thermostat connections at the
two C terminals. If no
connections, timer needs
batteries in to run.
— Batteries may not have been
installed.
— Batteries may need
replacement.
— If new batteries are installed
and timer still does not run.
Action
Reinstall thermostat wallplate or
subbase. Use a spirit level.
Thermostat should be about 5 ft
[1.5m] above floor on an inside wall.
Contact qualified service technician for
change of location.
See Thermometer Adjustment section.

Install as shown in Fig. 2.
Replace with two new AAA alkaline
batteries as shown in Fig. 2.
Replace thermostat.
