4. Developer section

1 When machine has low toner (low concentration) conition, Toner
and Carrier (Developer) are transported from toner box to devel-
oper box by mixingroller.
Toner box contains Toner and Carrier (Developer)
2 Machine conumed some quantity of toner making copier, but car-
rier (developer) is not consumed.
Increase in quantity of carrer in the developer box, therefore some
quantity of deteriorated carrier overflowed.
3 Deteriorated carrier is transported to deteriorated carrier collection
section in the collection container by mixingroller.
Therefore quantity of carrier in the developer box is regulated.
This operation effects on replacement for deteriorated carrier by
fresh one.
4 On the other hand residual toner in the OPC drum cartridge units
is transported to waste toner collection section in the collection
container by transportoller.
The employment of this system elements the need for replacement of
carrier in the developer box, resulting in a reduction in servicing time
and in servicing costs.
When toner in the toner box is not consumed and the toner density in
the developer unit falls below the specified level, the toner lamp lights
up to indicate the necessity for replacement of the toner cartridge.
Toner in the toner box is exhausted by about 40K copiers. (7% den-
