To avoid setting off the alarm by
accident:
■ Lock the vehicle after all occupants
have left the vehicle and all doors
are closed.
■ Always unlock a door with the radio
remote control or use the
Open&Start system.
Note
Changes to the vehicle interior, e.g.
the use of seat covers or open
windows, could impair the function
of passenger compartment
monitoring.
Activation without monitoring of
passenger compartment and
vehicle inclination
Switch off the monitoring of
passenger compartment and vehicle
inclination when, e.g. animals are
being left in the vehicle, because of
high volume ultrasonic signals or
movements triggering the alarm. Also
switch off when the vehicle is on a
ferry or train.
Keys, doors and windows
1. With the ignition switched off,
press o in the overhead
console. LED in the o button
illuminates.
2. Close all doors, tailgate and
bonnet.
3. Secure any loose items such as a
sunshades.
4. Make sure there are no
obstructions blocking the sensors.
5. Activate the anti-theft alarm
system.
Deactivation
Unlocking or approaching the vehicle
with the radio remote control or
starting the engine deactivates the
anti-theft alarm system.
Unlocking the driver door with the key
will not disarm the system or turn off
the alarm.
Charge cord theft alert
To activate or deactivate the charge
cord theft alert while plugged in, lock
or unlock the vehicle with the radio
remote control.
