Stopping the Engine

1. To stop the engine in an emergency,
turn the Engine Switch off.
2. Under normal conditions, use the following procedure:
a. Slide the Throttle or Speed Control
Lever to SLOW (the "turtle").
b. Turn the Engine Switch off.
c. Close the Fuel Valve.
3. After every use and before storing,
clean debris out of machine:
a. Remove spark plug.
b. Allow engine to cool completely.
c. Remove the Lock Nuts (23) and Washers (22)
holding the Access Panel (11) on.
d. Clear all debris out of the chamber.
e. Check the condition of the Chipper Blades (14).
If either is worn or damaged,
remove them by removing the Cap Screws (37)
and sharpen or replace the Blades as needed.
f. Replace the Access Panel (11),
with its warning label facing out.
g. Secure the Access Panel in place using
the Washers (22) and Lock Nuts (23).
4. Store the Chipper/Shredder in a dry indoor location
that does not allow access by children.
