    PREPARING TO USE YOUR GRILL Before cooking with your grill, the following steps should be closely followed to both cure the finish and season the interior steel. Failure to properly follow these steps may damage the finish and/or impart metallic flavors to your first foods. Brush all interior surfaces including grills and grates with vegetable cooking oil.

    COOKING TIPS Building Your Fire Stack charcoal briquettes or wood into a pyramid-shaped pile on top of the charcoal grate or ash pan. We recommend using 2 pounds (approximately 30 briquettes) to start your fire, adding more as needed. If using lighter fluid, saturate the charcoal briquettes with lighter fluid and let it soak in for approximately 5 minutes.
  • Page 5 Direct and Indirect Grilling Direct Grilling - For most grilling, the ignited coals are spread in a single layer under the food. This is called direct grilling and is appropriate for relatively quick-cooking items such as hamburgers, steaks and most seafood. The single layer of coals emits even, steady heat, whether the grill lid is open or closed, and represents the way most people grill.

    ASSEMBLY To begin assembly, Attach Firebox End Panels to the Front and Rear Firebox Panels using 8 each1/4-20x1/2” screws and 8 each 1/4-20 flange nuts. Be sure to use the screw holes shown below. When complete, turn the firebox over in preparation for the next step. Firebox Rear 1/4-20x1/2”...
  • Page 9 Attach the Bottom Shelf to the Legs using 4 each 1/4-20x1/2 ” screws. 1/4-20x1/2” Machine Screws 1/4-20x1/2” Machine Screws Thread the two Locking Casters into the ends of the legs on the same side of the grill shown below. Thread the Non-Locking casters into the opposite side legs. With the aid of a helper - turn the grill cart over to its upright position and tighten all hardware previously installed.
  • Page 10 Attach 2 Lower Hinge Assemblies to the Rear Panel using 4 each 1/4-20x1 5/8” screws and 4 each 1/4-20 flange nuts. Attach Spacers and Handle to Grill Lid using 2 each 1/4-20x3 1/4" Machine Screws and 2 1/4-20 Flange Nuts. Install Temperature gauge by placing the stem through the large hole in front of the grill lid.
  • Page 11 Attach 2 Upper Hinge Assemblies to the rear of the Grill Lid using 4 each 1/4-20x1-5/8” Screws and 4 each 1/4-20 flange nuts. Insert Vent Knob into side of Grill Lid from the outside. Inside the Grill Lid, slide the Vent Plate with the flat washer facing outside the grill lid onto the Vent Knob stud.
  • Page 12 With the aid of a helper, attach the Grill Lid to the Firebox Bottom by aligning the Hinges at the rear of the Grill Lid with the hinges at the rear of the Firebox Bottom. When Aligned - insert the hinge pins through the holes in the hinge as shown and secure the hinge pins by inserting a small hitch pin through the Hinge Pin holes, Small Hitch Pin Hinge Pins...
