Removing the Primary Hard-Drive

CAUTION: To avoid data loss, do not remove the hard drive while the computer is
On or in Sleep state.
CAUTION: Hard drives are fragile. Exercise care when handling the hard drive.

Prerequisites

Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the Computer Cover" on page 12.

Procedure

1 Disconnect the power and data cables from the primary hard-drive.
2 Remove the screws that secure the primary hard-drive assembly to the chassis.
3 Slide the primary hard-drive assembly out of the computer.
