Solution
• Press the ON/OFF button for a
moment.
• Confirm that the SD card slot/
battery cover is securely closed.
• Insert a fully charged battery into
the camera.
• Wipe the terminals with a clean
dry cloth.
• Set the mode switch to
.
• The indicator will light orange
when it is charged. You can then
press the shutter button.
• Insert a new SD card.
• If required, download the images
to a computer and erase them
from the SD card to make space.
• Format SD card.

• If reformatting does not work, the
SD card logic circuits may be
damaged. Consult the nearest
Canon Customer Support Help

• Slide the write protect tab of the
SD card upward (p. 22).
• Computer images that cannot be
played back will play back if they are
added to the camera using the
bundled software program
ZoomBrowser EX or ImageBrowser.
• Set the file name or location on
the file format/structure of the
camera.
