Engine oil

Make sure the engine oil is at the specified
level. Add oil as necessary. (See pages 8-5 ~
8-8.)
Recommended oil:
0° 10° 50°
30°
YAMALUBE 4 (20W40) or SAE20W40
YAMALUBE 4 (10W30) or SAE10W30
SAE 5W30
–20° –10° 0° 10°
Recommended engine oil classification:
API Service SE, SF, SG type or higher
90° 110°
70° 130°F
20° 30° 40° 50°C
CAUTION:
Be sure to use motor oils that do not con-
tain anti-friction modifiers. Passenger car
motor oils (often labeled "Energy Con-
serving") contain anti-friction additives
which will cause clutch and/or starter
clutch slippage, resulting in reduced com-
ponent life and poor engine performance.

Periodic oil change:
1.5 L (1.3 Imp qt, 1.6 US qt)
With oil filter replacement:
1.6 L (1.4 Imp qt, 1.7 US qt)
Total amount:
1.8 L (1.6 Imp qt, 1.9 US qt)
