Unpacking

1.
Take the radio out of the packaging.
2.
Remove all adhesive tapes and foils.
Important!
Do not permit small children to play with plastic
packaging. There is a risk of suffocation!

Check the items supplied

Before taking the appliance into use check to ensure
that all of the items listed have been supplied and
that there are no visible signs of damage.

Providing mains power

You can provide the radio with power either via
batteries or from a power adapter. Should a power
adapter be connected, power provision from the
batteries is switched off.
Operation with batteries
For battery operation, you must first insert four 1.5 V,
Type AA/LR6/Mignon batteries (not supplied) into
the battery compartment

Open the battery compartment
of the radio in that you remove the cover in the
direction of the arrow.

Insert the four batteries into the battery com-
partment
, ensuring their positionings comply

with the polarity markings given in the battery
compartment

Replace the battery compartment cover.
Interaction with batteries
Leaking batteries can cause damage to the
appliance.
• If you do not intend to use the appliance for
an extended period, remove the batteries.

• Always change all batteries at the same time
and always use batteries of the same type.
• Should the batteries leak, wear protective
gloves and clean the battery compartment
with a dry cloth.
Operation over a power adapter
You can connect a power adapter to the radio via
a 5 mm barrel connector. The secondary voltage
must be 6 V and the barrel connector must be poled
positive on the inside.
Connect the barrel connector of the power
adapter to the jack socket DC 6 V
radio.
Then insert the power adapter into a mains po-
wer socket whose voltage matches the informa-
tion given on the power adapter type plate.
The radio now operates with electricity from the po-
wer adapter and the supply from the batteries is
switched off.

Operation

Switching On and Off

To switch the radio on, turn the On/Off switch
with volume controller
feel that a slight resistance has been overcome.
To switch the radio off, turn the On/Off switch
with volume controller
that a slight resistance has been overcome.

To control the Volume

Turn the On/Off switch with volume controller
to the right to increase the sound volume.
Turn the On/Off switch with volume controller
