RS-232C Interface

When a personal computer is connected via RS-232C
interface (SVT-RS1A Computer Interface Board), set
the baud rate on the SET UP 3 screen.

Press MENU until the SET UP 3 display appears
on the screen.

Press $ SHIFT to move the flashing to RS-232C
and set the baud rate (1200, 2400, 4800 or 9600
bps) by pressing REC/PLAY SPEED+/–.

Press SEARCH to return to the normal display.

REMOTE Jack

The VCR can be remotely controlled by adding the
circuit shown below to the REMOTE jack or by using
the SVT-RM10 Remote Control Unit (not supplied).

SW2 ......... PAUSE
SW3 ......... REW
SW4 ......... FF
SW5 ......... PLAY
SW6 ......... REC
SW7 ......... MENU
SW8 ......... REV
SW9 ......... REC/PLAY SPEED+
SW10 ....... REC/PLAY SPEED–
SW11 ....... SHIFT $
SW12 ....... SHIFT z
Resistor tolerance should be
equal to or less than ±2%.
Notes
• Use a shielded cord less than 5 m (16 ft.) in length.
• The recording indicator on the SVT-RM10 does not
light when using with this VCR.
