Entering Text Using Swype

Swype™ is a unique text input method that lets you
enter words by sliding your finger from letter to letter,
lifting only between words. It uses error-correcting
algorithms and a language model to guess the
intended words.
The Samsung and Swype onscreen keyboards have
different options.
Assigning and Configuring Swype
This default text input method can be changed.
To assign Swype as the default:
1.
Press

text
.

Tap
Select input method > Swype
indicates the feature is enabled.

To configure Swype settings:

Press

text > Swype
.

From within an active text entry screen in ABC
OPT
mode, tap
> Options
settings screen.

Scroll down the screen list of available options and
touch a corresponding entry to either activate or
configure the setting.

Preferences
input and feedback options:
allows you to select the current text
Language
input language. Default language is US
English.
Word prediction
to predict words as they are entered in Swype.
Audio feedback
Swype on or off.
Vibrate on keypress
when you press a key.
