When the service provider is dis-
played and the screen appears as
above, the phone is in standby mode
and ready for use. To return to stand-
by mode from any menu, simply
press and hold the end key until the
standby screen is displayed.
SIM problems
If you see Please insert your SIM card
on your display, check for possible
causes (p. 88).
PIN
If your PIN is entered incorrectly three
times, the SIM card is locked. Unlock with
PUK (key code) (p. 76).
You may also change your PIN or activate
or deactivate PIN control (p. 76).
If you do not have a SIM card, the
phone can be used with limited func-
tionality.
When you turn on your phone, you
will be prompted to insert your SIM
card. However, even without the SIM
card inserted, you will still be able to
place an emergency call by selecting
SOS
the soft key. You will also have
access to the following functions in
the phone's menu:
