Storing a Confidential Document in Your Machine's Mailbox

Use the following procedure to store a document in a confidential mailbox in your machine. Once the

confidential document is stored in your machine, it can be polled by the other machine.

Make sure that the FAX lamp is on.
If not, press

to set the "FAX Mode".
Place document(s) face down on the ADF.
or
Place a book or document face down on the Platen Glass.

SET
Enter a 4-digit Confidential Code.
Ex: 2 2 3 3
SET
The document will be stored into memory.
If necessary, inform the receiving party of the confidential
document and tell them the confidential code needed to poll
the document.
1. The confidential file will be erased automatically after being polled.
If you wish to retain the confidential file even after being polled, change the setting of Fax Parameter
No. 42 (CONF. POLLED FILE SAVE) to "Valid".
