16 Menu: Messages

Note: This function is applicable only if it is supported by
your telephone system.
Your handset can be used to send and receive text messages.
These messages can be stored in a list with up to 10 entries.
There are normal and urgent messages which are signalled to
the recipient in different ways. Every stored message is dis-
played in the message list with the first few words of the mes-
sage and can be shown in full length.
The following symbols in front of the message indicate it's sta-
tus:
urgent message
normal message read
normal message unread
transmitted message confirmed
transmitted message not yet confirmed
message could not be transmitted successfully
messages in the list downloaded from the PC
All entries in this chapter are started by pressing the softkeys:
F
Menu
Messages OK
F
Options
New OK
Message or Urgent Message OK
If the message list is empty, you can use the New function after
selecting the Messages menu. A message text can be up to
160 characters long. Refer to the key assignment page 33 for
entering characters.
