additional technical assistance.
Before you call
Some problems you experience may be related to software or the operating
system, it is important to investigate other sources of assistance first.
Before contacting TOSHIBA, try the following:
Review troubleshooting sections in the documentation for software and
peripheral devices.
If a problem occurs when you are running software applications, consult
the software documentation for troubleshooting suggestions. Call the
software company's technical support for assistance.
Consult the dealer you purchased your computer and/or software from.
They are your best sources for current information and support.

Devices, and to your monitor's
Procedure
Make sure that the external monitor's power
switch is on. Confirm that the external monitor's
power cable is plugged into a working power
outlet.
Try adjusting the contrast and brightness controls
on the external monitor.
Press hotkeys Fn + F5 to change the display
priority and make sure it is not set for the internal
display.
Check that the cable connecting the external
monitor to the computer is attached firmly.
If problems persist, contact your dealer.
Check your monitor specification. It might not
support the selected resolution and refresh rate.
The resolution on the monitor might go into
panning mode when wide screen resolution is
selected. Refer to Appendix B,
Troubleshooting

Modes.
