Radio Mode
If a program was previously selected that belongs to the
particular transmitter chain, the last stored program
entry will be automatically selected.
The
multifunction key indicates that additional
stations can be displayed and selected by pressing this
key.
If stations names are being misused to send
advertisements or messages, this station is indicated
with L1, L2, etc. This prevents constant switching in the
lower display line. When a station is selected, it is
identified by a star such as L*1.
The first time the unit is operated, or if the battery had
been disconnected, it may take the radio some time to
evaluate the station signals. The display will appear
incrementally as the evaluation progresses.

FM Mode Options
There are options which control the display as well as
radio operation during FM radio operation. Most of
these options apply to stations which transmit RBDS/
RDS signalling.
Program Type Selection (PTY)
Press the
button to select radio menu mode.
RADIO
Press the
multifunction key and then press it
repeatedly to select the desired PTY (see page 77 for
more information).
NOTE: PTY is only available in FM-DAS mode and
only those PTYs that are currently available can be
selected. If there are no PTYs available, the display will
show NO PTY.
Once you have made a selection, press the
button to return to radio mode. The unit will time out and
return to radio mode after 8 seconds without pressing
a key or a button.
