8-4 Special-Effects Playback (Shuttle Ring Operation)

Still, field-by-field advance and reverse step slow playback
Press the [FIELD] button so that it lights.

Press the [PLAY] button to play back a tape.

Turn the [SHUTTLE/FIELD] ring.

Turn it to FWD (clockwise) to advance the tape.
To rewind the tape, turn it to REV (counterclockwise).
You can vary the speed of field-by-field advance/
reverse playback by turning the dial to the following
positions.
• In the FWD mode : Center (STILL)
by-field playback
by-field playback
• In the REV mode : Center (STILL)

reverse step slow playback
Press the [PLAY] button to restore the Normal Play

mode.
Shuttle search (reverse and fast-forward) playback
Press the [SHUTTLE] button so that it lights.

Press the [PLAY] button to play back a tape.

Turn the [SHUTTLE/FIELD] ring.

Turn it to FWD (clockwise) to advance the tape.
