Install the Modem Driver

Introduction
The MultiModem iCell is compatible with Windows Operating Systems: Vista, XP, 2003, Server
Compatibility:
2008, and Linux.
The MultiModem iCell driver must be installed in your computer's program directory. The Windows
Windows:
driver is located on your MultiModem product CD. Refer to the example below for installing the Windows driver
onto a PC.
Linux does not require a driver for serial modems.

One MTCMR-X modem
•
A RS232 cable to connect the modem to the PC
•
The MultiModem CD shipped with your Multi-Tech modem
•
A PC running Windows
This installation procedure is only used as a basic guide to help you install the MultiModem iCell driver.
Note:
You may see differences based upon your version of Windows and your Windows settings.
Installing the MultiModem iCell Driver onto a PC Running Windows Vista/XP/2003/2008
This installation assumes a Windows Vista, XP, 2003, or server 2008 operating system.
To load the MultiModem driver on your PC, select the Control Panel's Phone and Modem Options option. During this
installation, you will be required to browse the MultiModem CD to load the modem's .inf file. This file is located at the
root directory on the MultiModem CD.
Go to Start, and then click on Control Panel.
