Check the operation of the sidestand

8 8 Be sure to use the centerstand

during this inspection.
8 8 If improper operation is noted,

consult a Yamaha dealer.
Turn the main switch to "ON" and
the engine stop switch to "#".
Put the sidestand up.
Push the start switch while applying
either of the brake levers.
The engine will start.

Put the sidestand down.
If the engine stalls:
EW000046 The sidestand switch is OK.

If improper operation is noted,
consult a Yamaha dealer immedi-
ately.
