    Step 1 Setting Up the Machine Close the ADF cover. Install the Automatic Document Feed (ADF) Support Do NOT connect the interface cable. Connecting the interface cable is done when installing the driver. Install the Drum Unit Assembly Open the front cover by pressing the front Open the ADF cover.

    Rock it from side to side several times to Load Paper in the Paper distribute the toner evenly inside the Tray assembly. Pull the paper tray completely out of the machine. Push the drum unit assembly into the machine (until it snaps into place). While pressing the paper guide release lever, slide the adjusters to fit the paper size.
