    If you pull the range out from the wall for any reason, make sure the device is properly engaged when you push the range back against the wall. If it is not, there is a possible risk of the range tipping over and causing injury if you or a child stand, sit or lean on an open door.
  • Page 4 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS CAUTION: Items of interest to children should not be stored in cabinets above a range or on the backsplash of a range— children climbing on the range to reach items could be seriously injured. Never wear loose-fitting or hanging garments while using the appliance.

    After broiling, always take the broiler pan out of the range and clean it. Leftover grease in the broiler pan can catch on fire the next time you use the pan.

    (or similar material) as follows: When the floor covering ends at the front of the range, the area that the range will rest on should be built up with plywood to the same level or higher than the floor covering.

    Leveling screws are located on each corner of the base of the range. Remove the bottom drawer and you can level the range on an uneven floor with the use of a nutdriver. To remove the drawer, pull the drawer out all the way, tilt up the front and take it out.

    It comes on when the unit is hot to the touch. It stays on even after the unit is turned off. It glows brightly until the unit is safe to touch. Watch food frying at high temperatures. Keep range and hood clean from grease.

NOTE: A slight odor is normal when a new cooktop is used for the first time. It is caused by the heating of new parts and insulating materials and will disappear in a short time.

    How to Set the Oven for Broiling If your oven is connected to 208 volts, rare steaks may be broiled by preheating the broiler and positioning the oven shelf one position higher. Leave the door open to the broil stop position. The door stays open by itself, yet the proper temperature is maintained in the oven.

    To Black-Out the Clock If you have several clocks in your kitchen, you may wish to black-out the time of day display of your range. If so, press the CLOCK pad. To Set the Timer The timer is a minute timer only.

    The low temperature zone of this range (between WARM and 200°F.) is available to keep hot cooked foods warm. Food kept in the oven longer than 2 hours at these low temperatures may spoil.

    Adjust the oven thermostat—Do it yourself! You may find that your new oven cooks differently than the one it replaced. Use your new oven for a few weeks to become more familiar with it. If you still think your new oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the thermostat yourself.
