Oven Heating Elements
Do not clean the bake element or the broil element.
Any soil will burn off when the elements are heated.
To clean the oven floor, gently lift the bake element.
Clean with warm soapy water.
Oven Shelves
Clean the shelves with an abrasive cleanser or steel wool.
On self-cleaning models the oven shelves may be
cleaned in the self-cleaning oven. However, the shelves
will darken in color, lose their luster and become hard
to slide if cleaned during the self-cleaning cycle.
To make the shelves slide more easily apply a small
amount of vegetable oil or cooking oil to a paper towel
and wipe the edges of the oven shelves with the paper
towel.
