- Page 2 Product Description The PHNC65 High Fidelity Headphones are a closed, dynamic, ear‐enclosing stereo headphone with active noise canceling functionality. Disturbing ambient noise in the low frequency range is recorded by tiny microphones and then significantly reduced as phase inverse tones. Thus, a noise canceling of more than 85% is achieved. For operation: two 1.5 V micro batteries {type AAA} are required. The PHNC65 can also be used passively (without noise canceling and without batteries). - Page 3 3. Basic Operation 3.1 ‐ Adjust the volume at the headphones. 3.2 ‐ To switch on the active noise canceling function and to attenuate ambient noise set the ON/OFF switch to ON. The POWER indicator lights up when noise canceling is activated. 3.3 ‐ When the power level of the batteries are critically low, the active noise canceling is switched off. However, the audio signal continues to be transmitted. 3.4 – The PHNC65. can also be used like conventional headphones without batteries to listen to music. 3.5 ‐ After operation, switch the ‘Noise Canceling’ switch to the ‘OFF’ position to extend battery life. 4. Cleaning The headphones should be cleaned from time to time. Please use a soft lint‐free and moistened cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents! 5. Transport To transport the headphones in the transport case fold the ear‐pieces inwards between the headband. You can store the accessories in the soft bag. 6.
