How to Lock the Coolaop
IMPORTANT. As a convenience,

can lock tile entire cooktop at any tiine
when it is not in use or befin'e cleaning.

Tolock the cooktop:
Tourh and hold tile CONTROLLOCK pad
fin" 3 seconds.

indicating that tile cooktop is locked.
If tile cooktop is locked while tile surti_ce

How to Operate the Kitchen Timer

To operate

pads below tile TIMER display.
Touch tile

touch tile (+)/(-)pad to choose tile
desired time setting. If the (+)/(-)pad is

Using the Pan Detection Feature
This featm'e automatically turns off a
sm_hce element after 60 seconds ita pan
is absent fl'om tile surfime element. Tile
power level display will flash tmti] tile

when the control detects tile absence
of a pan.
Toactivate and deactivate pan detection for
all surface elements:
Tourh tile PAN pad, (At least one surface
element must be on.) Tile displa} will
flash "E_N ON" when tile pan detection

A signal will sound and a light next to
tile PANI)ad will indicate _dlether tile
feature is active. If tile light is on, pan
detection is on, and if tile light is off;

NOTES:
For this teature to work properly, tile
pan diameter must be greater than 4.0
inches and centered on tile surfi_ce
element.
This teature Inay not operate properly
with ro/mded, cm_'ed or waq)ed
pan
bottoms (see tile TI/pos of Oookwaro
section).
This teature _fill not work with
gla ss-cei'a illic / st onewa i'e cookware
(see tile Y!/pos of Oookwaro section).
Using Pan Sizing
This feature is one used on tile dual
stwIime element when the pan detection
teatme is enabled. \_]len a small pan is
placed on tile suFIi(ce element, tile small
smfime element will acti_ ate. _qlen a pan
larger than 6.0 inches is placed on tile
sulfiwe element, tile large suYIime
element will automatically activate. This
feature may be o_vrfidden fi)r a single
cooldng session while leaving tile pan
detection feature active (see Dual Surface
Element section).
To turn off this feature and the pan detection
feature:
Touch the PPNpad,
Tile light next to tile pad will go out,
indicating that pan features are turned
