Step 3: Getting

started
Make all audio and power
connections to the unit
before turning the power on.
Set the controls as
shown in the graphic
(THRESHOLD fully
counterclockwise, LEVELER at 3,
RATIO at 3, OUTPUT at 0 and
LIMITER off).
Press the power button to
turn the unit on.
Begin playing audio to send a
signal to the SPL3220.
Press the PROGRAM knob to
select Music or Speech to
best suit your application.
Turn the THRESHOLD knob
counterclockwise until the
GAIN REDUCTION meter
occasionally reaches 6.
Turn the LIMITER knob
counterclockwise to allow
some extra headroom and
avoid loud peaks in the music or speech.
Press the METER button so
that the OUTPUT LED is lit.
Adjust the OUTPUT knob so
that the LEVEL meter
occasionally reaches 0,
but does not cause the red LEDs to light.

Realice todas las conexiones
audio y de corriente en la
unidad antes de ponerla
en marcha.
Ajuste los controles tal
como le mostramos en el
gráfico (THRESHOLD en el
tope izquierdo, LEVELER y RATIO en 3,
OUTPUT en 0 y LIMITER off).
Pulse el botón POWER para
encender la unidad.
Comience a dar paso a
alguna señal audio o a una
voz hablada para enviar una
señal al SPL3220.
Pulse el mando PROGRAM
para elegir entre Music o
Speech la aplicación más
adecuada al uso que vaya a dar.
Gire el mando THRESHOLD
hacia la derecha hasta que
el medidor GAIN
REDUCTION llegue de forma puntual a
la marca 6.
Gire el mando LIMITER a la
izquierda para disponer de
un cierto margen o
headroom extra y evitar picos potentes
en su señal musical o de voz.
Pulse el botón METER de
forma que el piloto OUTPUT
se ilumine.
Ajuste el mando OUTPUT de
forma que el medidor LEVEL
llegue de forma puntual a
la marca 0, pero no llegue a hacer que
los pilotos rojos se iluminen.
